Another way to explain what hypnosis feels like is highway hypnosis, which is a form of waking hypnosis. Have you ever driven down the highway, missed your exit, and asked yourself where have I been for the last five or thirty minutes? Have you ever pulled in front of your home, and then thought to yourself, how did I get here? What happened was highway hypnosis! You were able to drive the car, but your mind was focused on something else. That is what hypnosis is, focused concentration in order to achieve a goal.
